Step by step
- Take the wider shot first so the location is obvious, then the close-up with a coin or tape for scale.
- Tap the tile: hollow means it has debonded and will crack further; write that down.
- Give the location (room, wall or floor, position) and the trade, tiler or finishing.
- Severity by consequence: cosmetic on a dry wall is low; a wet area or floor is medium; loose is high.
- Action: replace the tile, match the grout, re-seal the movement joint if it is at a corner.
