The Insights screen counting open, critical and overdue items across projects

Step by step

  1. Walk with a checklist so every room gets the same checks; the count then means something.
  2. Record every item, then let the severity do the sorting, ten mediums matter more than a hundred lows.
  3. Give the developer the numbered list; agree what is a defect and what is tolerance.
  4. Re-inspect after the fixes and report the count closed, not the count found.

A 57-check handover walk in Punch List AI produces a consistent count from house to house on the same development, and Insights shows the closed-versus-open figure that matters to the buyer.

Related questions

Does a high count mean a bad builder?

Not on its own. It means a thorough walk. Look at the number of high and critical items, and at how many are still open after the first fix visit.

What do developers accept as a snag?

Anything outside the warranty provider's tolerances, for example paint defects visible from two metres in daylight. The checklist wording helps you argue it.
